The 2017 Chicago Marathon on October 8, 2017
Like many people at the finish line or a marathon, I vowed I would never do that again. . .unless I had a really good reason. Well, now I have a good reason. Sr. Stephanie Baliga has been an incredible witness and friend to my fiancee Elizabeth Gorecki. Somehow in the midst of 2 master’s degree and a full-time mission to the poor, she is still training in to make the US Olympic team. Even more impressive is the work of Our Lady of Angels in serving the disadvantaged persons of west side Chicago.
How you can help?
I will not be doing this race on my own, I will be doing it with your support and for the set purpose of sharing the good news of the incredible mission of Our Lady of the Angels and raising funds to expand that mission. Click on the links above to donate.
What you’ll get?
The thanks and prayers of some really awesome nuns . . .and the thanks and prayers of one average runner as I struggle towards the line.
The Mission is completely supported by the private donations (no funding from the Archdiocese or public sources).
