We're a community of Anglican Christians in the county of Värmland, Sweden that due to the Swedish church's close-to monopoly to Christianity (Lutheran) have had to practice our faith outside of any church for the last couple of years. During the summers we've held services outside, and during the winters online, one could say we practiced COVID-restrictions years before COVID. Our community has slowly started shrinking, and one after one our members choose to convert to Lutheranism, since it's a lot nicer to have a church to practice your faith in, even if that means compromising on your beliefs.
But now we've gotten the opportunity to buy a beautiful, albeit a small, church in the countryside in the middle of Värmland. This would mean that we'd finally have a place to practice our faith, and grow our community. And, since it'd be the only Anglican church within a radius of at least 3 1/2 hours, it'd mean that Anglicans from all over western Sweden and eastern Norway would finally have a meeting place and a place to worship.
During the last few weeks we've started collecting money locally, and within just 3 weeks we've managed to collect over 1,250,000 SEK (~150,000$) thanks to the wonderful people here in Värmland. But we're still short of around 155,000 SEK (~18,000$), and we've exhausted most of our options. So, we've turned to you for help. Please consider supporting us and let us practice our faith in a real church without having to compromise on our beliefs.
Thank you, and God bless you all.
