Ruth (pictured on the right in the green blouse) is a 14-year old
teenager with mental health problems. She lives in Kampala, Uganda.
On March 27, 2019, she gave birth to twin girls, Rita and Maria, 3 weeks prematurely by C-section. Ruth was raped by a married man who went into hiding when he found out about her pregnancy.
Ruth's parents abandoned her. She had to leave home.
Rita and Maria are dangerously underweight and need urgent hospital care. But Ruth can barely afford to feed them, let alone pay for their medical care which would cost $900 AUD.
Agnes from the non-profit NGO Women Africa Foundation (pictured on the left), has given Ruth money to buy milk for her babies, but Ruth needs our help to ensure they survive and thrive.
Will you help reach our modest goal of raising $900 AUD ($600 USD) to get hospital care for Rita and Maria? Any additional funds raised will be used to provide food and other basic necessities of life for Ruth and her babies.
The situation is very urgent. Every day without hospital care puts the lives of Rita and Maria further in danger.
Thank you in advance for your generosity. Any donation, big or small, is welcome.
