The 8:32 Society: A Network of Christian Alumni and Scholars at JHU
The Inaugural JHU Christian Faculty Dinner will be held in Charles Village on September 30th, 2017 from 5pm - 8pm.
Join us for a time of food and fellowship, and find out more about the 8:32 Society, a network of Christian alumni and scholars at JHU: http://832society.com. After dinner we will have time to share information on plans so far and answer any questions you have about the initiative.
The 8:32 Society, a network of Christian alumni and scholars, recognizes the crucial role of faculty to the Christian community at JHU. Students and alumni have benefited for years from your teaching, mentorship and prayer. While students on campus and alumni in the work place need support integrating their faith and vocation, we know that faculty need support as well. This event is a time for you to meet and build friendships among other Christians in research and academia at JHU.
Menu Catered by Lebanese Taverna
Hummus & Pita
Beef or Falafel Shawarma and
Drinks: sparkling water, iced tea, hot tea, and hot coffee
You can help us meet our financial goals by donating on this page. Although some costs are covered by donations from generous alumni, all donations will offset the cost of the dinner and make more funding available to additional 8:32 projects. While not the case at this time, we anticipate that donations to future efforts will be tax deductible.
The 8:32 Society is not operated by, governed by, or directly affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, the official JHU Alumni Association, or the chaplaincy for campus ministries, but rather is an independent initiative of Christian alumni, faculty, and students of JHU.
