"It is that we consider our soul to be like a castle made entirely out of a diamond or of very clear crystal, in which there are many rooms, just as in heaven there are many dwelling places." Saint Teresa of Avila
"Long ago most of the nations were ruled by Kings and Queens who lived in castles. During that time there lived a nun named, Saint Teresa of Avila."
The above are excerpts from the book, The Diamond Castle. I wrote it to help children learn about the spiritual life of the soul. To share that Christ dwells in the souls of the faithful. Their souls are like diamond castles radiating the splendor of His Majesty and His love for them and the world.
I have self-published the book and developed a gaming app with the programming done by a Catholic development company. The book and game are meant to be the first in a series to continue the teachings found in St. Teresa of Avila's book, Interior Castle, in order to make her teachings accessible to children at the elementary school level. Never before has the diamond castle metaphor for the soul been used to teach children and it is a timely symbol to use in our times where children are exposed to play that involves castles, knights, and dragons. The book and game have received the Imprimatur of Archbishop Joseph Naumann of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.
I need help to develop the second gaming app and to print the second in the book series, The Diamond Castle. The next book will include more explanation from Interior Castle on what "union with God" is, looks like and are it is experienced, or not.
