Born and raised in Nigeria, Nnadozie Onyekuru never expected to be able to come to school in California. God works in mysterious ways, however, and he led Nnadozie to Thomas Aquinas College through a commencement address that he saw on the school website. We all thank God for that day! The magnitude of the blessing that Nnadozie has been to the College and all the members of its community is unquantifiable. There is no student who does not receive the heartiest of greetings from Nnadozie, no visitor who can step foot on campus without his warm welcome, and no friend of his who can be anything but in constant awe of his virtue. Nnadozie is a senior this year, set to graduate in May. The school community wants to give back to Nnadozie in some small way. As a surprise to him, we are hoping to raise enough money to bring his parents to the graduation ceremony. He has not seen his family in almost four years, and we all know that it would mean the world to him to have them come and encounter his TAC home and friends. If you have the privilege of knowing Nnadozie, you know that he deserves this and much more. If you do not yet know him, rest assured that this is a noble cause, for he is a noble soul! Any amount that you are able to contribute to this fund is greatly appreciated! Let's help Mr. and Mrs. Onyekuru see their son again, who has touched so many of our lives! It was a commencement ceremony that brought Nnadozie to our campus; may it be a commencement ceremony that brings his parents here as well!
Please contribute if you are able! Our goal is to raise $5,000 to cover expenses for the trip (visas and flights for two, etc.). We, his classmates and fellow students, are very happy to have such an opportunity to give Nnadozie this gift - he has been such a good example to all of us here.
Please, KEEP THIS A SECRET!
And, feel free to spread the word!
