Hi! I am just a university student trying to follow God's path.
Category: Education & Research
My name is Elizabeth and I am a senior at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. My university does not offer the courses I need to graduate on time with a degree in French Language and Literature. This summer, I have the incredible opportunity to finish my degree in Paris at l'Ecole Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur (ESCE pictured in the photo)! The coursework in advanced grammar, French culture, and history will permit me to graduate on time and to avoid an additional costly year of school. Besides this, living in Paris for the summer will prove an invaluable asset to my education and my future career. Being immersed in the language and culture of France will enable me to develop the fluency I need to teach or work in a French-speaking environment. Each waking moment will be a moment for learning!
Funding is now the only hurdle standing between me and this program/graduation. I am a self-sufficient, hard-working student, but what I make at work in a month is only enough to cover current living expenses. There is rarely any leftover to be saved after groceries, rent, and education-related expenses. I have applied to all the available scholarships at my university and, after receiving the results of those, am still short of the funds needed for participation in this program. So, I am reaching out to you in hopes that you might be willing to make up the difference. Would you consider helping me graduate?
Thank you for your time and consideration!
