I am extremely
excited to say that I have been offered the chance to visit Ghana in the summer
to volunteer with African Adventures via The Compton School. I
will be fortunate enough to help build some of the facilities (in the school)
in the small village of Woe, and even teach the children in their
The 10-day trip comprises of 5 project-days, where we will be completing manual labours and teaching; followed by a weekend of travelling to Cape Coast, where we will be visiting the Cape Coast Castle, learning about the brutal treatment of slaves in the 1700s and afterwards taking in the beautiful Cape beaches. We will then be heading to Kakum National Park, taking a hike through the rainforest to learn about the wildlife and vegetation. Once we have travelled back to Woe, we have one project-day left, followed by delightful farewell celebrations!
This is really a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I will treasure forever.
I have decided to fundraise this trip and need your help raising £1845! The money will go towards flights, accommodation, resources and the organisation. I cannot wait to learn, gain some new experiences and grow as an individual on this fantastic journey and I hope that you will help me get there!
Thank you for all your donations, it means the world. <3
